What if my team decides to sit out the summer season, will we lose our winter spot?
The WHCL will give first right of refusal to teams from the previous summer season.  If you decline your summer season spot you will not lose your winters spot, but your summer spot will go to a new team, and they will retain the rights to that spot going forward.

Many leagues say they have “Prime Time” ice.  What makes WinSport’s prime time ice different?
In the WinSport Hockey Canada League all games will be played in Prime time.  This means you will never finish a game after Midnight.

Are you taking individual registrations?
At this time we are only accept team registrations. If you are looking for a team please email whcl@winsport.ca and we will send your information to any teams looking.

Will all games be played at WinSport?
All games will be played at WinSport in the Markin MacPhail Centre located at 151 Canada Olympic Drive SW, Calgary AB.

How do I get my team on the wait list for the WHCL?

When does Registration start?
The WHCL has two distinct registration time frames, Summer and Winter.  Summer registration begins in January, and winter registration takes place in June.  The registration process is the same for both seasons.  The past season teams will have a two week window to submit their deposit. Any available spots will then be offered to teams from the other season (winter or summer), with a one week window, and finally the remaining spots will be optioned to the public.  Public spots can only be confirmed with an immediate deposit.
