The Wingmen proved to fly higher than Prestige Worldwide in the Newcastle final.
Prestige Worldwide got into the final as the least penalized team tied with a 1 - 2 record in the round robin, but proved to be a worth opponent for the Wingmen.
"This was the best game of the night" said referee Terry Cook. And he was right, with the Wingmen carrying just a 1 goal lead into the final 44 seconds after Prestige Worldwide scored with their net empty. Viktor Mak was able to shut the door in the final stages of the game to seal the win.
It wasn't all bad for Prestige Worldwide as Evan Rogers got a pretty good parting gift as he had to leave the game in the second period as his wife went into labour. Congratulations Evan.
