Adult Skills Program
2013-11-04WHCL Players get to hone their skills with Hockey Canada instructors
Night one of the Adult Skills Session was a success.
With drills designed to assess the skill of each player there was a few drill sthat had some players legs screaming at the end of the night. All 30 skaters that attended were eager to participate in drills that concentrated on skating, shooting, and passing.
The session started with a couple power skating warm up drills, that saw everyone use the full ice. Moving into a full group drill that combined skating and passing, and then moved into stick-handling with their heads up, and finally a shot on goal it got everyones blood flowing.
After a short break the group was split into 3 seperate groups to work on skating, shooting, and stick-handling.
The Hockey Canada instructors are looking forward to gettting everyone back on the ice again this Tuesday and into a few new drills.
