Summer 2013 Playoffs

The WHCL Playoffs are set. We will start the elimination round of the playoffs with the Rickards Red division on August 5th at 7:00 PM. The first 32 games over 4 nights will see 32 teams move onto the round robin games while the other 32 teams hang up their skates until September.
Playoffs will run until August 25th when all 8 division finals will be played.
There has been a lot of questions regarding playoff eligibility in the past week, so I thought I would clarify a few questions that have come up.
1. Player exceptions - There will be no exceptions to the minimum required games to qualify for playoffs. All players need a minimum of 6 games to qualify for playoffs.
2. Forfeits - If your team has a forfeit win this season all your players will require 1 less game for each forfeit win. This is how we credit your entire roster for attendance as we are unable to track attendance at forfeited games. If your team has a forfeit loss this season, they will still be required to have the minimum 6 games.
3. ID - All players will be required to produce photo ID before playing in the playoffs. In the case that Photo ID is not produced that player will be deemed ineligible and the game will be counted as a forfeit.
4 Schedules - Schedules are set for the playoffs and will not be changed. If your team is unable to attend a game please let the league administration know so we can inform your opponent that they will be credited with a win.
To see the Playoff Schedule before the system switches over to playoffs select the "Summer 13 Playoffs" link on the left hand menu of the WHCL website. This will show all scheduled ice times for each division. The schedule will only show which teams are scheduled to play based on regular season standings (ex. 1 vs 8). These standings will be updated on the WHCL webpage, and not on the spreadsheet.
