Winter Registration update

June 7th Update to registration
I wanted to take a minute and let everyone know where we are at with our winter 2013-14 registration.
As you might already know last season we had 80 teams, and 78 of those were invited back, and their registration started this past Monday. For any of those 78 teams to be eligible to return to the WHCL they must have their contract, and $1000 deposit in to the league before 4 PM on June 14th.
To this point, (1/2 way through the 2 week window), we have received confirmation from 46 of the 78 teams that they are indeed playing. There has been a couple of teams that are deciding to go try playing elsewhere this season, and I would like to take this time to wish them the best of luck.
Our previously published registration dates and time will remain the same. Summer 2013 teams will be able to register on June 17th, with the public teams having their opportunity to register on June 24th. Next week I will have more of an idea which divisions we will be looking for teams in.
Many of you have asked about the MMC. The MMC stands for Markin Mcphail Centre. That's the name of the Arena's here at WinSport.
