2013-14 Winter Details
The WHCL will be once again expanding this season.  We are going to grow from 80 to 90 teams.  These 90 teams will play based on skill over 10 separate skill divisions. This season we are looking at expanding our over 40 division to 10 teams, which will give us 2 divisions of 5 teams.  There will be a competitive division, as well as a rec division.  These 2 divisions will play crossover games, but it will give the over 40 teams more of a chance to play competitive games based on their skill levels.

League fees
 
 

• Winter Fees for returning summer team that also play year round in the WHCL will be as follows:
  • $9300 + GST for the season ($9765 or $611 based on a 16 player roster)
  • $1000 deposit due prior to June 14^th
  • $4382.50 due September 5^th
  • $4382.50 due December 5^th
• Winter Fees for teams that played winter or summer but not both will be as follows:
  • $9400 + GST for the season ($9870 or $617 based on a 16 player roster)
  • $1000 deposit starting June 17^th @ 9:00 AM
  • $4435 due September 5^th
  • $4435 due December 5^th
• Winter Fees for brand new teams will be as follows
  • $9500 + GST for the season ($9975 or $624 based on a 16 player roster)
  • $1500 deposit starting June 24^th (pending available space)
  • $4237.50 due September 5^th
  • $4237.50 due December 5^th

THERE WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THESE DATES
What you get
 
 

• 28 games plus 1 guaranteed playoff
• Round Robin playoff format in 2^nd round
• All-Star game for top 32 players in the league (Date TBA)
• Season runs Sept 16^th – March 31^st

 
Important Dates
 
 

• June 3^rd – Start Accepting deposits from Returning winter 2012-13 teams
• June 14^th – All returning teams deposits must be in prior to 4:00 PM (if a deposit is not in your spot becomes available to a new team)
• June 17^th – 9:00 AM Deposits for 2013 summer teams will be accepted. ($1000 deposit must be made in full to guarantee a spot)
• June 24^th – 9:00 AM Deposits for brand new teams will be accepted, based on availability. ($1500 deposit must be made in full to guarantee a spot)
• September 5^th – First payment must be made prior to 4:00 PM (if a payment is not in your spot becomes available to a team on the wait list)
• December 5^th  – Final payment for the Summer season is due (Any team failing to play will forfeit any games until their payment has been made in full, and their team spot may be handed over to a team on the wait list)

League spots will be made available following the protocol listed below.
 

1. Winter 2012-13 teams will be offered their spot from last season.
2. Summer 2013 teams will be offered spots based on teams not returning.
   1. In-person registration at the MMC will be taken first
   2. Phone calls will be taken once all in-person registration is complete. Messages will not be checked until June 18^th, and messages will not guarantee placement.
3. Public registration spots will be available to fill the league up to 90 teams.
