With the deadline for final fees coming and going last week it was a busy week for the WHCL.
Final Fees
I would like to take this time to thank all WHCL teams for getting their fees in on time and ensuring that all games are a go for this week. It's been a pleasure working with all of you through this last week.
Gamesheets
Yes they have been behind most of this season, and I have been assured that the website is stable again and we will be able to get them back on track to entered "within 48 hours" throughout the Christmas break. Once we reach the second part of the schedule (January 6th - March 16th) all gamesheets will fall within the 48 hour timeframe. I thank each and every team for their patience throughout this trying time with the statistics.
All-Star
This is the last week for All-Star voting. Players will start to receive All-Star invites in January.
Playoffs
There have been a couple teams asking about Playoff Schedules. Playoffs will Begin March 16th and conclude March 31st. Playoff Schedules will be posted in Early January, but seeding will most likely not be completed until the final game of the season.
Final Thoughts
I want to thank each and every player in the league this season. I know it has been a frustrating season with the issues we have had with the website this season, and It's time to get that back on track so we can all see how we stack up against the rest of the league.
Every day I receive e-mails from other teams throught the city looking to get into the WHCL. They want to play here not only because of the Facility, or the Ice times, but because you guys have made the WHCL a great place to play. The Hockey is competative, everyone treats others with respect and dignity. This is truely becoming the best place in Calgary for Adult Rec hockey and its because of the players and teams we have in the league.
