The Seednig round is complete
With the completion of the seeding round we are now underway with our regular season. If your team has not been notified of a divisional move it means you are staying in your current division for now.
So far we have had twelve teams moved into a different division based on Divisional alignment. The plan going into the season was to have all divisional alignment completed prior to the start of the regular season, but that has proven to be difficult. There are a few teams that are still on the cusp of moving either up or down a division, but have no suitable team to swap with. It has been decided that divisional moves may take place during the regular season as well if it is determined that your team is in fact in the wrong division. If this does happen all divisional seeding will be based on divisional win% (only games against teams ending in the same division will count).
Many teams have inquired about stats from the seeding round. Due to unforeseen website issues we were not able to track the stats from the seeding round online. in line with last season the WHCL was intending to reset all stats at the completion of the seeding round, and starting all teams at zero, so going forward, all stats will be kept current, and will be uploaded within 48 hours of all games played.
The question of playoff eligibility comes into play now that there is no record of the seeding round. In the 28 game season players were required to attend 11 games (40%). We will maintain the 40% ratio and players will now be required to attend 8 of the final 21 games.
