What is the WHCL Fall Mini-League?
The WHCL Fall Mini-League is a modified 5 on 5 style of hockey that was developed to ensure player and official safety. It adheres to current AHS restrictions in relation to sport, physical activity, and recreation and specifically around league play and cohorting.

What is the WHCL doing to ensure the safety of the players, officials, and WinSport Team members?
We are tweaking the rules to create a free-flowing game without faceoffs, with reduced roster sizes, division specific officials, no substitute players, daily screening checks and additional measures to provide a safe and fun place to play.

What are the roster sizes?
Rosters are limited to 11 players per team (10 skaters and a goalie).  No subs will be permitted during the season.  Under current restrictions, only 50 players are permitted per division and this includes officials.  Everyone registered will qualify for the playoffs.

How many teams are there in a division?
There are 4 teams per division. There will be no divisional realignment, as under current restrictions, players must remain in a cohort.

How long is the season?
The season will run from September 8th to October 30th.  Each team is guaranteed seven games (six regular season games and one playoff game).

What is the playoff format?
The playoffs will be a single elimination format.

What is the cost for the Fall Mini-League?
Individual costs are $205.

How do I sign up for the Fall Mini-League?

How are teams selected?
Space is limited and teams will be selected on a first come first serve basis.

When are the fees due?
Fees will be due August 31st, 2020.  Should you not pay within 24 hours, your spot will be given to a waitlisted player.

Are there additional safety measures to ensure safety at the Arena?
Personal masks are required when entering the facility and in dressing rooms (they are not required when you are exiting the dressing room to go onto the ice or returning to the dressing rooms from the ice).   We have implemented social distancing requirements in the dressing rooms and on the bench. No spectators will be allowed in the Markin MacPhail Centre at this time and until further notice the Hockey House, Garden Café, showers, and water fountains will all be closed.
