WHCL Coronavirus Update

Due to the recent developments of the Coronavirus in our city, and Hockey Calgary’s new Handshake Policy, we have decided move in the same direction.  Please see our temporary handshake policy:
 

• When shaking hands at the end of each game all players are to keep their gloves on and “fist bump”, rather than shake hands.  Be mindful of officials that are not wearing gloves and thank them verbally.

 
Please remember to practice the following safety tips to prevent the spread of illness:
 

• Do not share water bottles or drinks
• Cover you hand when coughing or sneezing
• Do not spit (on ice, in the dressing room, on the bench or anywhere else on WinSport property)
• Wash your hands before and after each game (and regularly throughout the day)
• Do not come to hockey if you are sick or have had symptoms in the last 48 hours

 
This handshake policy will remain in effect until the completion of the Winter 2019-2020 season.
