The WHCL will be running a playoff format a little different than most adult leagues in Calgary. 


 

We will start with a simple Elimination round.  It will be played exactly as it sounds, lose and you can hang your skates up until next season.  Games will be determined by the regular season seeding of each team in the division.  For playoff seeding we will NOT be taking into account the seeding round, and for tie breakers we will follow the tie breaker formula laid out in the official WHCL Rules.

Upon completion of the Elimination round, winning teams will be seeded based on the outcome of their elimination game and continue on into the Round Robin portion. If the 6^th place team beats the 3^rd place team, they will become the 3^rd seed; however, if the 3^rd place team wins they will remain the 3^rd seed.  These 4 teams will compete in a series of round robin games, where each team will be trying to become the top 2 teams in the division. 

Finally, the top 2 teams will then play a winner take all Final game for the division title.  The winner of this single game will be crowned division CHAMPION and be placed into the next higher division the following season.
