Join local Olympians in a trip back to the 80\'s for fantastic food from Calgary\'s top chefs, auction fun, raffles and an epic concert of six 80\'s bands to help raise funds for talented youth hoping to become the next generation of Canadian top tier athletes.
Get ready for an amped up night of righteous 80’s music and culinary excellence. That’s right, Thursday September 25th we are going back to the 80’s; the decade of spandex, leg warmers and head bands, the decade of the Rubik’s Cube, Pac-Man and the first launch of a NASA space shuttle.
It was 10 years of nonstop glamour, unchecked excess and ruthless ambition that made us who and what we are today.
Join Olympians in supporting talented youth athletes! The Legacy Gala raises funds for the next generation; the aspiring Olympian and Paralympian. All money raised at the Gala stays here in Alberta, helping athletes that live and train in THIS province.
Get ready to party to Wang Chung, Naked Eyes, Men Without Hats, Animotion, Berlin, and Trans-X!
Along with the unbelievable line up of 80’s bands playing, the night will also feature WinSport’s Executive Chef Ronnie Gillman and some of Calgary’s totally tubular chefs to provide guests with a culinary journey through an awesome era. The evening will feature wicked culinary artists such as:
Michele Aurigemma (Q Haute), Cam Dobranski (Winebar & Brasserie), Nicole Gomes (Nicole Gourmet), Kyle Groves (Catch), Jan Hansen (Heritage Park), Andrea Harling (Brava Bistro), Rogelio Herrera (Candela & Alloy), Gary Hennessy (Smugglers Group), Patricia Koyich (Il Sogno), Duncan Ly (Hotel Arts), Liana Robberecht (Calgary Petroleum Club)
The event is September 25th at WinSport’s Markin MacPhail Centre and begins at 6:00 pm with the reception dinner, and is followed by the live concert at 9:00pm.
Tickets for the concert start at only $50 and can be purchased at www.winsport.ca
